Jamaat man among 51 held in Rangpur

RANGPUR: Police arrested 51 accused including an activist of Jamaat-e-Islami in overnight drivers in eight upazilas of the district on Thursday (October 27).

The law enforcers also seized yaba tablets and phensedyl during the drives.

Rangpur police super (SP) Mizanur Rahman told Banglanews that being tipped-off police conducted the operation to arrest the charge-sheeted accused of different cases.

They were sent to Rangpur jail through court, he added.
