DHAKA: BNP nominated Advocate Shakhawat Hossain Khan, a former president of Narayanganj District Bar Association, as the candidate for the upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC).

BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the disclosure at a press briefing at the party central office in city’s Naya Paltan area on Tuesday (November 22).

Shakhawat Hossain Khan is also the lawyer in the seven-murder cases.

Earlier, Dr Selina Hayat Ivy, NCC mayor and also vice-president of Metropolitan Awami League (AL), nominated from ruling party to contest upcoming NCC election.
