DHAKA: Election Commission (EC) is set to hold a meeting with the high-ups of law enforcing agencies on Saturday (December 10) over the Narayanganj City Corporation polls due on December 22.

The meeting will be held at National Economic Council (NEC) auditorium in Dhaka around 11:00 am.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed will preside over the meeting here. Besides, other commissioners of the EC will attend the meeting.

Meanwhile, EC deputy secretary Farhad Ahmed Khan sent letters to armed force’s principal staff officer, senior secretary to home ministry, IGP, secretary to local government ministry, directors general of Ansar, VDP, RAB, BGB, Coast Guard, DGFI and NSI, and Additional IGP of special branch of police on December 4 in this regard.
