DHAKA: Commerce minister Tofail Ahmed remarked that BNP will be in danger if they oppose newly formed Search Committee.

The minister came up with this assertion while talking to reporters after a meeting with Japanese Ambassador at secretariat Thursday morning (January 26).

BNP should not make the issue controversial as the search committee was formed by President Abdul Hamid, he added.

Earlier on Wednesday (January 25), a six-member search committee has been formed for Election Commission (EC) reformation.

The members are High court Judge Obaidul Hassan, Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Masud Ahmed, Public Service Commission Chairman Mohammad Sadiq, Dhaka University English Prof Syed Manzoorul Islam, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Chittagong University Shireen Akhter.
