DHAKA: Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said BNP leaders are now talking in delirium like the lost and stumbled travelers after being boycotted by the people in elections and movements.

BNP is continuing its political rants by making ridiculous comments in media, he said.

Quader, also minister for road transport and bridges, was addressing a function arranged by the AL’s relief and social welfare sub-committee at the party president’s Dhanmondi political office.

The minister joined it online from his official residence.

Quader said: “BNP leaders are out to do ill politics instead of standing beside the flood victims. On the other hand, Awami League leaders are making all-out efforts to help the marooned people with relief goods and other necessaries.”

The ruling party general secretary also said those who do not stand by people in time of crisis would be thrown away into the trash bin of history.
