SIRAJGANJ: District BNP called half-day hartal for Tuesday protesting harassment and arrest of BNP leaders in the district.

The hartal will be enforced from 6:00am to 1:00pm, sources said.

BNP chairperson’s advisor and Sirajganj district president Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku Confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier, BNP brought out protest procession where police put blockade and locked into clash. At one stage BNP activists attacked Prime Minister’s personal doctor and Awami League leader Professor Dr Habib’s house.

Following the incident, police filed a case against 600 people of BNP and its allied parties mentioning hundred names.
