Five people were sentenced to life term imprisonment and 20 others to different terms for killing a Jubo League leader in Rajshahi in 2018.

Judge of Rajshahi Speedy Trial Tribunal Anup Kumar delivered the verdict on Sunday.

Godagari Jubo League leader Isamil was stabbed to death by some BNP-Jamaat activists on December 30, 2018, the day of the Eleventh Parliamentary Election.

Later, Isamil's wife Bijli Begum filed a murder case with Godagari Police Station.
