DHAKA: Miscreants torched six buses of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) at capital’s Gabtali bus stand early Sunday ahead of the 3-day hartal called by 18-party alliances.

Sources said that crossing boundary wall of BRTC bus depot, some youths set fire in buses at around 4:30am and fled the scene.

BRTC Gabtali Depot Manager Fazlu Rahman told banglanews, “It is unknown that who set the fire.”

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-4 Deputy Additional Director Fazlur Rahman told banglanews, “On information, we rushed to the spot. Among six buses, four were burnt to ashes.”
