SATKHIRA: At least five people, including an assistant police super and a constable, were injured in a clash between Jamaat-Shibir and joint forces in Roichpur area in the district on Thursday morning.

Besides, five people, including bullet-wound, were held from the spot.

Assistant police super M. Moniruzzaman told banglanews that Jammat-Shibir activists tried to put barricade on roads in Roichpur area at around 9:30am.

On information, joint force Police, RAB, BGB rushed to spot and chased them. Later, Shibir activists threw bombs, bricks-chips aiming joint force, leaving five injured including an assistant police super and a constable.

Joint forces, in separate drives, detained 50 Jamaat-BNP men in the district between December 15 and December 19.
