JESSORE: Local administration imposed section 144 at Monirampur upazila as Awami League and opposition BNP convened meeting at same venue and time.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharif Nazrul Islam imposed the ban on Thursday morning.

The ban will be imposed from 11:00am and continue till 7:00pm on Thursday.

Monirampur Thana Officer-in-Charge Mosharraf Hossain said local administration imposed section 144 apprehending the imminent clash between Awami League and BNP.
