DHAKA: Main opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia visited the ailing Mayor of Gazipur City Corporation Professor Mannan at United Hospital in capital’s Gulshan area on Thursday midnight.

Khaleda went to the hospital at around 11:45pm and inquired about his present physical condition.

Meanwhile, BNP vice chairman Sadek Hossain Khoka, Chairperson’s personal assistant Shimul Biswas, Educational affairs secretary Khairul Kabir Khokan, Mahila Dal general secretary Shirin Sultana and others accompanied Khaleda Zia.

Later, opposition leader left the hospital at around 12:00am.

Earlier, GCC Mayor Professor MA Mannan was injured on October 29 in chase and counter chase between hartal supporters and law enforcers during the hartal enforced by BNP-led 18-party alliance.
