Bashundhara Kings maintained their winning streak in the ongoing ABG Bashundhara Bangladesh Premier League 2023-24 beating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited by 3-0 goals in the fourth match on Friday.
In the match Brazilian forward Dorielton Nascimento scored a second half brace on behalf of the reigning champions.
After a barren first half and wasting a lot of chances, Dorielton broke the deadlock with a header off a cross from forward Rakib Hossain in the 79th minute at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj.
The Brazilian struck the second goal with a chip-in shot off a pass from his compatriot midfielder Miguel Figueira in the 90+2nd minute before Kings captain Brazilian skipper Robson Robinho extended the margin with a direct free-kick from outside of the box in the 90+6th minute.
Robson, who has been playing for the Bangladesh giants since August 2020, touched a new milestone on this day scoring his 50th league goal. The Kings skipper was also adjudged the man of the match.
“I’m happy for it (50th BPL goal), thanks to my club, management, coaches and players for supporting me,” said Robosn.
