On day three of the first Test in Chennai, India declared their second innings at 287-4, establishing a daunting target of 515 runs for Bangladesh to chase. 

The declaration followed impressive centuries from Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill, who shared a crucial 167-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

Rishabh Pant scored 109 runs, while Shubman Gill remained unbeaten at 119, showcasing their batting prowess and extending India's lead significantly after dismissing Bangladesh for just 149 runs on day two. 

With the match firmly in their control, India aims to secure victory as they continue to dominate the proceedings on the pitch.
