DHAKA: Shakib Al Hasan regained his position as the best Test all-rounder beating Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin.

The Bangladeshi left-hander, though facing a six-moth ban, bagged 364 rating points to regain the ICC Player Rankings’ top position.

The 27-year-old has also become 2nd in both One Day International and Twenty-20 earning 371 and 393 rating points.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez, however, secured number one in both the shorter formats of the game.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on July 7 banned Shakib for six months for his 'severe attitude problem'.

Country’s most prominent cricketer, according to the BCB, will also not be allowed to play in overseas competitions till the end of 2015.
