‘Cricketers to be accountable for defeat’

DHAKA: Bangladesh National Cricket team is encircled by continuous defeat and they just cannot get rid of this dilemma in previous year.

Chairman of Bangladesh Cricket Operations Committee Akram Khan forewarned that the cricketers along with coaching staff and selectors would be interrogated and accountable for the consecutive defeat.

The tigers could not win a one day international match for last 10 months and the same happened in last two matches of West Indies tour.

Bangladesh have already lost the series by 2-0 and one more match is yet to play.

Former cricket players of Bangladesh and cricket experts think it is high time to reshuffle the team.

New comers should get opportunities if the senior players cannot perform well. Moreover, the players should be more responsible and careful about the match, they added.

The former captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Khaled Masud Pilot said, “The failure in batting side and some misguides of the captain are main reasons for downfall of the recent series.”

He also suggested the players to play more carefully in future.
