He scored 121 off 119 balls against the hosts with spellbinding 12 4s and a 6, at Sophia Garden in Cardiff Saturday.
In this tournament, he scored 75 off 84 balls against South Africa and 64 off 68 balls against New Zealand.
For Bangladesh, Shakib becomes the second batsman to confirm a World Cup century after Mahmudullah Riyad, making it own eighth ODI hundred.
Till Saturday, Jason Roy follows Shakib with 215. Jos Buttler (185), Joe Root (179) and Mushfiqur Rahim (141) are others to make the top five.
However, Bangladesh suffered a defeat by 106 runs to chase England's 386.
