At least 20 passengers were injured after the head-on collision between two buses in Gopalganj on Friday (March 24).

Gopalganj Fire Service Senior Station Officer Sheikh Md Ariful Haq confirmed the matter.

He said a Benapole-bound bus of ‘Mehrab Poribahan’ from Poisharhat collided head-on with a Kotalipara-bound bus of ‘Diganta Poribahan’ due to the fog in Bhojergati area of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila, leaving at least 20 passengers of the buses injured.

Traffic movement on both sides of the road halted for an hour after the accident, he added.
