Advance tickets for intercity trains ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr are sold out, and now, return journey tickets are on sale.

Passengers planning to travel back on April 7 must purchase their tickets today. 

Bangladesh Railway on Friday morning began selling advance return journey tickets for the fifth consecutive day. All tickets are being sold online, and due to special arrangements, refunds are not available.

Tickets for intercity trains in the western region have been available since 8:00 am, while sales for the eastern region will begin at 2:00 pm.

Return journey tickets for April 8 will be sold on March 29, and for April 9 on March 30.

In previous years, Bangladesh Railway operated 8 to 10 pairs of special Eid trains, but this year, the number has been reduced to five pairs.

According to the railway authorities, the special trains include Chandpur Eid Special 1 and 2 on the Chattogram-Chandpur route, Dewanganj Eid Special 3 and 4 on the Dhaka-Dewanganj route, Sholakia Eid Special 5 and 6 on the Bhairab Bazar-Kishoreganj route, Sholakia Eid Special 7 and 8 on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj route, and Parbatipur Eid Special 9 and 10 on the Joydebpur-Parbatipur route.
