The Bangabazar market fire in the capital has now spread to four other nearby markets.

Firefighting units are seen throwing water tirelessly from various vehicles in the distance to control the blaze.

However, the fire men are struggling to extinguish the blaze due to water shortage.

Meanwhile, Water is being taken from Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall of Dhaka University. Due to lack of water pressure there is trouble in controlling the fire.

The blaze is still raging after over three hours.

An official of the fire service said, the water that came with the vehicles of our unit has been exhausted long ago.

Later, "We are taking water from the pond of Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall and working to control the fire. But the water pressure is very low. Our work was interrupted for 10 minutes in between," the official added.
