Three firefighters were injured while trying to douse the Bangabazar fire that broke out today (April 4) morning.

Fire Service Directorate sources confirmed the matter.

According to the sources, one of the firefighters was injured, though there is a report that two other firefighters were injured.

Rahima Khanam, duty officer of the fire service control room said, "We have received report that one firefighter was injured so far, his name is Sanjay."

The injured firefighter was sent to Rajarbagh Police Hospital for treatment, she said.
