A fire broke out in BGB Market at House Building area of the city's Uttara area on Monday (April 17) morning.
Being informed that the fire broke out around 10:25am in the Sector-7 market, five units of firefighters rushed to the spot.
Lima Khanam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters control room, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
The reason behind the fire and the damage caused could not be known immediately.
Earlier on Saturday (April 15) a massive fire broke out in Dhaka New Super Market in the capital. At least 31 people including 25 firefighters fell sick from the heavy smoke.
Besides, another massive fire gutted more than 2500 shops at Bangabazar Market in the capital early Tuesday (April 4). According to the Bangladesh Dokan Malik Samity, the fire may have burnt more than Tk 1,000 crore worth of investment into ashes.
