A fire broke out on the second floor of the jewellery market adjacent to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka on Monday (April 17).

The fire broke out from a power line on the market's second floor and was reported at 2:53 pm, said Shahjahan Sikdar, an official from the Fire Service Control Room.

But the fire had been doused by the traders before three units of Fire Service and Civil Defence reached the scene.
