Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed has assured that projects under the Indian Line of Credit (LoC) will not be canceled as they are essential for the country’s economy.

He was talking to reporters on Wednesday (March 5) after a meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Government Procurement at the Secretariat.

He said canceling such projects is a sensitive issue, and he will handle the matter with care.

He emphasized that while there may be delays in some projects, it does not mean they will be shut down. Regardless of which government initiated them, these projects are necessary, and the decision has been made to continue them.

On a separate issue, when asked about the possibility of an LNG crisis during the summer, the Finance Adviser said there is no such risk. He confirmed that two shipments of LNG have been ordered to ensure continuous supply, regardless of cost.
