A man died when a train hit him at in Mohakhali rail gate area in the capital on Thursday night.

The deceased was Md Mamun, 35, son of Md Mainuddin of Dharmapasha of Sunamganj.

Dhaka Railway Station (Kamalapur) Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Iqbal Hossain confirmed the matter today (May 12).

He said after the incident he was rushed to the Emergency Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared Mamun dead around 12am.

In-charge of DMCH police outpost inspector Bachchu Mia said the body has been kept at the hospital.
