Police recovered the body of a student of the University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) from a hostel in the city's Sadhur Mor area.

The deceased was identified as Samiur Rahman, a student of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Boalia police station Suhrawardy Hossain confirmed the matter.

He said the student returned from home a few days earlier.

The cause of death will be known when the autopsy report is available, he added.
