Bangladesh Met office predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at many places over the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (May 22). 

According to the Met office bulletin, rain or thunder accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," said the bulletin.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Khulna division and the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Madaripur and Moulvibazar and it may abate from some places.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 37.7 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and the minimum temperature today was recorded at 19.5 degree Celsius at Ishurdi

The sun sets at 6.37pm today and rises at 5.13am tomorrow in the capital.
