Lightning strike kills farmer at Teknaf

A farmer was killed in a lightning strike at Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Wednesday (May 24) morning.

The deceased was Rahmat Ullah, 40, a resident of Baharchhara union of the upazila.

Inspector of Baharchhara Police Outpost (Investigation Center) Mashiur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said farmer Rahmat Ullah was returning home in the morning. At that time, lightning struck him at around 11:00 am. He died on the spot.
