The High Court on Wednesday (24 May) revoked the stay on the BGB's filing of criminal cases.
The HC bench of Justice SM Quddus Zaman and Justice Shahed Nuruddin passed the order.
Deputy attorney general Sujit Chattarjee Bappi was at the court on behalf of the state.
The HC on Tuesday (May 23) stayed the criminal case filed by the BGB after a hearing.
The court also wanted to know why the charge framing against the accused in criminal cases will not be cancelled. June 14 was fixed for the next hearing.
Earlier in 2022, the BGB seized a large amount of Indian goods and filed a case with Akhaura Railway Police Station in Brahmanbaria against the accused under Section 25(B) of the Special Powers Act.
A Brahmanbaria court framed the charges in the case and ordered to start the trial.
Later, accused Kamruzzaman Khan filed an appeal to the HC challenging the validity of the charge frame.
