As advance train tickets are now being sold online for Eid-ul-Azha, the long queues for advance tickets, which were a familiar sight in previous times, are absent at Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital.

On Wednesday (June 14), a visit to Kamalapur Railway Station in the morning reveals that the ticket counters at the station are completely empty. Only regular passengers were seen on the platforms.

The Ministry of Railways started selling 100% of the advance train tickets online last Eid-ul-Fitr. This system has continued uninterrupted even this Eid-ul-Azha. As a result, there is no need for ticket seekers to stand in line at the station's counters.

Today (June 14), Bangladesh Railway started selling advance train tickets ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.

The train tickets for June 24 are available today. Hundred per cent of tickets will be sold online.

The selling of tickets for West Zone started at 8am, while the East Zone will start at 12 noon.

Passengers will be able to purchase the tickets for June 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 on June 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 respectively.
