At least five people including a woman and a child killed and 12 others were injured in three separate road accidents in Tangail on Friday (July 7).

According to information, three persons were killed when a covered van and a pickup collided in Rabna area on the Dhaka-Tangail highway, a woman was killed in Bangabandhu Bridge while crossing the road, and child killed in Basail.

However, of the deceased three were identified as Shah Alam, 40, Sahan Mia, 25, and Noorjahan, 45.

Tangail General Hospital police box officer-in-charge Atiku Miah confirmed the matter.
