Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the second phase of metro rail service from Agargaon to Motijheel today (November 4).
She inaugurated the Agargaon-Motijheel section from Agargaon station at 2.34 pm.
After the inauguration, the prime minister along with the high officials within the government, takes the metro rail to Motijheel for another inaugural programme at the Motijheel end.
The commuters will be able to take the train from Uttara to Motijheel from November 5 and the metro rail will stop at Farmgate, Secretariate and Motijheel stations initially on the Agargaon-Motijheel section.
On the Uttara-Motijheel route, the metro will run daily from 7:30 am to 11:30 am from November 5 and it will be stopped on the
Motijheel-Agargaon route after 11:30 am while it will operate up to 8:30 pm in Uttara-Agargaon section.
The prime minister inaugurated the first phase of the first-ever metro rail from Uttara to Agargaon on December 28.
