The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in different operations in the last 24 hours till 6 am Monday (November 20) arrested 32 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.

Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas, seizing drugs and arresting drug sellers and abusers, according to a statement issued by DMP today.

They seized 5,205 pieces of Yaba tablets, 34.05kg of hemp, 50gm of heroin, 20 bottles of Phensedyl, two bottles of foreign wine, and 12 pieces of injectable drug from their possessions, it also said. 

A total of 24 cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act, the statement added.
