Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (December 31) predicted that the weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours commenced from 9am today.
According to the BMD bulletin, moderate to thick fog may occur at many places over the country during midnight till morning. Air navigation, inland river transport and road transport may disrupt due to thick fog.
Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 30.4 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda and minimum temperature today was recorded 13.4 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.
Ridge of sub continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.
The sun sets at 5:21 pm today and rises at 6: 41 am tomorrow in the capital.
