Abul Hassan, Hasan, and Saber made finance, foreign, and environment ministers

The government today (January 11) has given charge to Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, Hasan Mahmud, and Saber Hossain Chowdhury as the ministries of finance, foreign affairs, and the environment, respectively, in the newly formed cabinet.

Meanwhile, AKM Mozammel Haque (Gazipur-1), has been made Liberation War Affairs minister, Obaidul Quader (Noakhali-5) Road Transport and Bridges minister, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun (Narsingdi-4), Industries minister, Asaduzzaman Khan (Dhaka-12) Home Affairs, Dr Dipu Moni (Chandpur-3), Social Welfare minister, Md Tajul Islam (Cumilla-9) LGRD and Cooperatives minister, Muhammad Faruk Khan (Gopalganj-1) Civil Aviation and Tourism minister, Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali (Dinajpur-4) Finance minister, Anisul Huq (Brahmanbaria-4) Law minister, Dr Hasan Mahmud (Chattogram-7) Foreign minister, Md Abdus Shahid (Moulvibazar-4) Agriculture minister, Sadhan Chandra Majumder (Naogaon-1) Food minister, RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury (Brahmanbaria-3) Housing and Public Works minister, Md Abdur Rahman (Faridpur-1) Fisheries and Livestock minister, Narayan Chandra Chanda (Khulna-5) Land minister,  Abdus Salam (Mymensingh-9) Planning minister, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury (Chattogram-9) Education minister, Farhad Hossain (Meherpur-1) Public Administration minister, Md Faridul Haque Khan (Jamalpur-2) Religious Affairs minister, Md Zillul Hakim (Rajbari-2) Railways minister, Saber Hossain Chowdhury (Dhaka-9) Environment minister, Jahangir Kabir Nanak (Dhaka-13) Jute and Textile minister, Nazmul Hasan (Kishoreganj-6) Youth and Sports minister, Architect Yeafesh Osman (technocrat) Science and Technology minister and Samanta Lal Sen (technocrat) has been made health minister of the new government.

Awami League president Sheikh Hasina, on January 11 formed the government for the fourth consecutive term with a 37-member cabinet as she took oath as the prime minister for fifth term.

Her council of ministers included 25 ministers and 11 state ministers.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath of office and oath of secrecy to Sheikh Hasina and her new ministers at Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban at 7.06pm.

After the swearing-in, Sheikh Hasina signed the oath of office and oath of secrecy.
