Petrol bomb blast in Natore train

NATORE: At least nine passengers injured as miscreants hurled cocktails and petrol bombs in a train at Natore railway station on Saturday morning.

Rail station sources said that in guise of passenger, some hartal supporters blasted petrol bombs and broke windows of the train while Dinajpur-bound Akota Express train stopped at Natore station at 09:28am, leaving nine passengers injured.

Meanwhile, miscreants blasted cocktails at a food warehouse in the station area.

On the other hand, following the incident BNP and Awami League activists locked into clash, leaving 14 people injured.

Later, police rushed to the spot and fired eight round tear shells and four rounds shotgun bullets to bring the situation under control.
