DHAKA: A truck driver, who sustained burn injuries when blockade supporters hurled petrol bomb at his truck in Gazipur, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Noor Jaman, 26.

Family sources said that miscreants’ hurled petrol bombs at a Narsingdi-bound cattle-laden truck in Shafippur area under Kaliakoir upazila at around 8:00pm Saturday, leaving its driver critically burnt.

Later, the victim breathed his last at burnt unit of DMCH at 5:20am.

DMCH burn unit Doctor Faruk Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
