DHAKA: A writ petition was filed with the Supreme Court seeking its directives for the continuity of High Court bench proceedings amid hartal-blockade programmes.

SC lawyer Advocate Yunus Ali Akand submitted the petition to the concerned department of the apex court on Wednesday morning.

In the plea, the petitioner also sought the SC directives on the government in ensuring 100 percent risk allowance for judges.

The writ also sought court directives not to harass-arrest Supreme Court lawyer association members.
