COMILLA: Two people were killed and three more injured in a road crash in Nayabazar area under Chauddogram Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Halima Begum, 60, wife of Kuddus Ali and their son Mostafa, 33.

Sources said that a Chittagong-bound truck knocked a covered van from behind in the area at around 8:15am, leaving two passengers of the truck dead on the spot and driver and two children injured.

Confirming the matter, Chauddogram Highway Police Sergeant Sahab Uddin told banglanews, “Police seized the truck and covered van.”
