BANDARBAN: At least 20 houses were gutted in a devastating fire at Kachchaptali area under Royangchhari Upazila of the district on Friday night.

Locals said that the fire originated at a house from an electric short circuit at around 10:30pm and sooon spread out to adjacent houses.

Later, on information, two fire fighting units brought the blaze under control with the held of locals.

Alikhong Union Parishad Chairman Biwanath Tanchangha confirmed the matter to banglanews.
