Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today (Nov 20) visited the Secretariat in the capital for the first time after being sworn in as the chief adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government, and presided over a meeting of the advisory council.
Earlier today, Muhammad Yunus was welcomed at the Secretariat by Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul and Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan.
Previously, meetings of the advisory council under this administration were held at the State Guest House Jamuna or the chief adviser’s office in the capital.
On August 8, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the head of Bangladesh’s interim government, three days after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had resigned and fled to neighbouring India.
