Chuadanga and Gopalganj are experiencing a chilling cold wave accompanied by strong winds across the districts.
On Thursday morning, the meteorological office recorded the country's lowest temperature at 10.2 degrees Celsius in both areas.
Poor visibility due to the cold forced vehicles to use headlights, resulting in slower travel times.
The cold weather has hit low-income individuals and daily wage earners the hardest, as they must venture outside to make a living.
According to Rakibul Hasan, a senior observer at the Chuadanga weather observatory, the humidity level in the wind reached 97% at 9 am.
He also warned that the cold is likely to intensify in the coming days.
