CHITTAGONG: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed hopes that Bangladesh also will win against India in the case on maritime boundary dispute in the same way of Myanmar.
The premier was addressing a commissioning ceremony of two warships of Bangladesh Navy at Chittagong naval base on Saturday.
Sheikh Hasina said, “We had won the maritime boundary with Myanmar and hoping we will also win in the matter with India.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also said that the government would take all types of steps to modernize naval forces.
Earlier on the day, the premier unveiled plaque of two warships BNS Abu Bakar and BNS Ali Haidar for Bangladesh Navy in the port city.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (port) Mostaq Ahmed told banglanews, “The helicopter carrying Prime Minister landed at Isa Khan Naval Base of Patenga in the port city at around 11:00am.
