This year Hajj flights from Bangladesh will start on April 29 and continue until May 31.
The information was announced on Tuesday (February 18) during a meeting on smooth Hajj management, presided over by Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Nasreen Jahan at the Tourism Building in Agargaon, Dhaka.
This year Hajj is scheduled to take place on June 5, subject to the sighting of the moon.
According to government, this year, 87,100 Bangladeshi pilgrims will travel to Saudi Arabia for Hajj. Biman Bangladesh Airlines will transport 43,550 pilgrims, covering 50% of the total, while Saudia Airlines will carry 35%, and Flynas Airlines will handle the remaining 15%. The airfare for each pilgrim has been set at Tk 167,820.
