NEW YORK: US ambassador to Bangladesh Dan W Mozena will attend ‘Chief of the Mission Conference’ in Washington.

He is also expected to meet expatriate Bangladeshis in the United States.
 
US State Department spokesperson Emily Horne confirmed it to banglanews on Tuesday evening (US local time).

Other diplomatic sources said Mozena’s meeting with expatriates will carry messages both in ‘private’ and ‘public’.

According to the sources, the ambassador will attend a total of 14 meetings in several states including New York, Georgia and Texas. Out of 14, four meetings will be held in New York.

The diplomat will talk about different issues regarding Bangladesh.

Mozena is expected to uphold the development in different sectors in Bangladesh as well as a necessity of all-party participatory election in the country.

Emily Horne said that Mozena will attend the upcoming meetings as a part of US government’s official program.

The diplomat will uphold US government’s stance to the expatriate Bangladeshis, Horne added.
