DHAKA: A total of 25 countries are taking part in the GAPEXPO 2014, an international garments accessories & packaging exposition, at Bangabandhu International Conference Center of the city.

Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) President Rafej Alam Chowdhury made disclosure while addressing a programme Thursday.

The countries include India, China, Pakistan, Taiwan, Australia, Germany and UAE. They would showcase a wide variety of products, machinery & raw materials from 11am to 7pm at 500 stalls in the fair, he added.

The four-day long fair will end on March 9.

Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) is the second largest export oriented trade organization of the country and represents more than 1200 carton and accessories industries of the country.

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed inaugurated the ceremony.

BGMEA President Atikul Islam, Acting President of BKMEA Hatem and Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank SK Sur were among others present on the occasion.
