A 55-member rescue and medical team from Bangladesh arrived in Myanmar's capital around 2 PM today to provide humanitarian aid to earthquake victims.
Two C-130J and one CASA C-295W aircraft transported the team along with 15 metric tons of relief supplies, including 4.2 metric tons of medicine, tents, and dry food, according to a message from the Bangladesh Embassy in Myanmar.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Myanmar Dr. M Monwar Hossain handed over the relief to Myanmar’s Ambassador-at-Large U Kyaw Tun.
Defence Adviser Brigadier General Md Aftab Hossain was also present.
Earlier, on March 30, Bangladesh had sent a first batch of 16.5 metric tons of relief via two flights.
