CHANDPUR: Voting has been postponed at Shilastal polling center in Kachua upazila until further notice on charge of occupying polling center and vote manipulation in the third phase upazila polls on Saturday.

Locals said that the activists of Awami League rebel candidate Ichhahak Sikder tried to cast fake votes and capture the polling center around 10:15am.

Moreover, they allegedly attacked the Presiding Officer of the center.

This misdeed prompted the postponement of voting in the center.

District Polling Officer Ataur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
