DHAKA: A Dhaka court asked Jamuna Group Chairman Nurul Islam Babul to submit an affidavit before hearing the bail petitions on Sunday afternoon in two cases.

Metropolitan Magistrate MA Salam passed the order in response to a bail plea filed by Babul with the court.

The judge also quizzed Babul about the controversial uniforms of security guards of the group and about the compensation of the victim who died on mismanagement of Jamuna Group.

In a reply, the defendants said that the uniforms were changed and a compensation of Tk 5-lac was provided to the victim’s family.

In response, the court asked for an affidavit and fixed Sunday afternoon for bail hearing.
