SAVAR: Police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified man from Moragang area in Ashulia Wednesday.

The bullet-hit body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Ashulia thana sources said local people found the body floating in the river near Taiyabpur-Isakandi cross dam area in the afternoon and informed police.

Police suspected assailants might have shot dead the man, aged around 35, three or four days ago and threw the body into the river.

A case was filed with Ashulia police station in this connection.
