KURIGRAM: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 225 sacks of betel-nuts worth of Tk 15 lakh while they were being smuggled from India through Jatrapur frontier of the district on Wednesday.

Kurigram BGB-45 Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Mofazzal Hossain Akhand told banglanews that they had seized the betel-nuts acting on a tiff-off early Wednesday from two houses of Vishirvita under the area.

He said the betel-nuts might be come through waterway.
